According to the US Energy Information Administration,the national average retail price for regular-grade gasoline(both conventional and reformulated)was $2.598/gal on Aug.19,a 2.6￠/gal decrease from the Aug.12 price and the lowest in five months.The Gulf Coast region's $2.269/gal was the lowest price for gasoline,while San Francisco,California's $>3.514/gal was the highest price.The national average for regular-grade RFG settled at $2.807/gal-a drop of 3.2￠/gal on the week.The state of Texas and the Gulf Coast region shared the lowest price of $2.267/gal for RFG,while the highest was San Francisco,CA's $3.514/gal.
