Vaca Muerta facing bottlenecks

Much like the Permian Basin shale play in the US,the Vaca Muerta shale play in Argentina is also suffering from infrastructure bottlenecks that could negatively impact investment and future production growth.Argentina believes addressing these botdenecks to help move supplies into the play and production out will help reduce the breakeven cost in the play to below $40/bbl,which Argentina believes will put Vaca Muerta on par with US shale plays and increase its attractiveness.Over $165.0B in investments have been pledged in the play,with state energy firm YPF SA being the largest single investor at $8.4B.
