Southeast Asian crackers to undergo turnarounds in H1 2020

Despite ethylene and propylene production capacity set to come offline in the beginning of next year,the startups of Chinese-based Hengli Pettochemical's 1.5MM-mt/y and Zhejiang Pettochemical's 1.4MM-t/y cracker units will likely limit any price gains from these turnarounds.South Korea's Hanwha Total already expanded its cracker capacity from 310K mt/y to 1.4MM mt/y last Sept although this unit was reported to have experienced disruptions.
