In the July 27 Digest, it was reported that oil major Chevron will add 2.05B boe in oil and gas reserves (18% of the company's 11.4B boe in existing reserves) and strategically advantageous locations in the Permian Basin and the Leviathan field in Israel with its acquisition of Noble Energy. It has now been reported that Chevron will gain 35K acres in the Eagle Ford shale basin in Texas and 336K acres in the Denver-Julesburg basin located in Colorado.
