摘要

The ongoing coronavirus outbreak continues to drive down crude demand growth and price forecasts as fears over the impact of the virus grow. The EIA has reduced its 2020 oil demand growth forecast by 31 OK b/d to 1.03MM b/d due to the impact of the coronavirus on Chinese oil consumption and above-average temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere last month. EIA Administrator Linda Capuano said, "EIA expects that travel restrictions in response to the coronavirus, along with the related economic slowdown in China, will reduce petroleum demand and keep crude oil prices below $60 per barrel through the first half of this year despite current disruptions to crude oil supply."
