Korea’s POSCO in Underselling Stance in Asian Plate Market

In the steel plate market of the Asian region, POSCO’s export offensive has become marked. The company is lowering its prices in vain with no information of the conclusion of contracts for the time being. Selling at a bargain is not almost heard from Hyundai Steel and Dongkuk Steel Mill among Korean steelmakers. POSCO’s offer prices are reported to be US$420 CFR for shipments of May/June. Hyundai and Dongkuk of that country are unlikely to have conformed with an action of POSCO.
