Boots has announced proposals to cut 4,000 jobs-around 7%-from its workforce as part of "a significant restructuring", owing to the impact of COVID-19, and LloydsPharmacy has earmarked some roles as "at risk of redundancy" because of the pandemic. However, Boots said it did not expect the job cuts to impact pharmacists or pharmacy advisers. LloydsPharmacy could not confirm whether redundancies were likely to affect community pharmacy staff.
