Offline: Palestinian health - Science for accountability

In September, 2012, 1500 public health scientists and practitioners gathered at a Population Health Congress held in Adelaide, Australia. They learned about new developments in public health; they reported their own research findings; and they participated in workshops about how to translate public health science into practice. The atmosphere was easygoing. Although there were questions about how committed the Australian Government was to public health, there was no sense that the core idea of protecting and advancing the health of Australians was in jeopardy.
