The introduction of vitamin A into distill any waste diets 25 - 50 % above the current rate increases the average daily growth of young cattle by 10.7 - 12.4 % while reducing the feed costs by 8.9 - 10.9 %. In pulp fattening, a similar increase in vitamin A in the diet has contributed to an increase in the average daily growth of bull calves by 11.4 - 13.2 %, and a decrease in feed costs by 7.8 - 8.7 %.
