A food concentrate for dairy cattle, milk goats, calves and young beef cattle consist of a sweet-flavored Yucca palm extract, active and inactive yeast combined with a suitable substrate. A farm animal food concentrate additive consists of a sweet flavored plant extract such as Yucca palms, together with an active yeast , an inactive yeast and a substrate. The concentrate also contains a micro-biological additive especially Saccharomyces serevisiae IP 1077 at a concentration of 5 x 10(9 KBE/kg total weight. The concentrate also contains trace elements copper (68 mg/kg), selenium (100 mg/kg) or cobalt (80 mg/kg). In lieu of the inactive yeast the mixture may contain vitamins A (5,900 I.E./kg), D3 (1,350 I.E.(kg) or E (10,000 mg/kg). The concentrate also contains an emulsifier such as lutein and tartracin.
