Idemitsu Announces Investment in Solar Power PJ in Philippines

Japanese oil giant Idemitsu Kosan announced on 17th its plan to invest in the PowerSource First Bulacan Solar project in Philippines. The 80.9-MW solar project in San Miguel, Bulacan Province is invested by a local renewable energy company PowerSource Group Development Corporation, Manila, Philippine’s largest power company Manila Electric Company, and Singapore-based Sunseap International. Idemitsu joins the project by investing in PowerSource’s subsidiary. The Idemitsu’s first solar power project in the Philippines aims to start commercial operation by the end of this year. The entire volume of electricity from the project is supplied to Manila Electric Company.
