The system (1) has a signal detection unit (2) detecting signals in objects e.g. persons, to be monitored. A pattern recognition unit (3) extracts characteristics, which characterize an actual condition present in the objects to be monitored. An evaluation unit (4) identifies the dangers to which the monitored objects are exposed. A memory unit (10) stores specialized information on dangerous situations. A recording and alarming unit (5) announces danger situations, where the objects to be monitored, the danger situations and an extent of announcing are determined in a scalable manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for preventive identification and evaluation of dangerous situations.
