FERC to revisit grid reliability

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has announced plans to hold a technical conference June 27 to discuss “policy issues related to the reliability of the bulk power system.” In the Feb. 25 announcement, FERC said it would subsequently issue an agenda for the meeting, but had not as press time Tuesday. FERC could conceivably touch a wide swath of topics on grid reliability, including the Trump administration’s position that nuclear and coal plants must be given financial assistance to keep the nation’s grid running smoothly.
