It ain’t sixth grade, but times are consequential for the coal industry

There are times in life during which moves are more consequential than others. Take when I was in 6th grade… Being too heavy to play in the backfield – something like 100 pounds was the cut-off, and I being big-boned weighed 110 – I was installed at left offensive tackle. Alas, I was never going to be 220- 240 pounds by high school, so I was at a dead end. In anguish, I became quite aggressive, and the coach decided to move me to linebacker. I was never again, in my failed career, to play on the offensive side of the ball.
