JEA seeks offers on 140,000 tons of coal, 245,000 tons of petcoke

Jacksonville, Florida, generator JEA is seeking offers on 140,000 tons of coal and 245,000 tons of petroleum coke, plus or minus 10% in each case, for delivery to its Northside Station in the first quarter of 2020. The delivery schedules for four vessels of coal and seven vessels of petcoke – each vessel of about 35,000 tons -- will need to be flexible. The volumes requested for the first quarter are based on JEA restarting its second circulating fluidized bed unit and having both units running during this period.
