OMV sells Tunisia oil stakes to Africa-focused Panoro Energy

London-OMV is to sell its stake in a number of Tunisian oil assets to Africa-focused Panoro Energy as the Austrian company diversifies away from the region. In a statement, OMV said it 49% share in production from the five oil concessions had amounted to 2,000 b/d of oil equivalent last year. Oslo-listed Panoro's Norwegian subsidiary is paying $65 million for the assets, including 50% of operating company Thyna Petroleum Services. It said the deal would bring it 8.1 million barrels of proved and probable (2P) reserves.
