Nigeria’s NPDC ramps up oil output via Forcados export line

Lagos, Nigeria-Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. said oil production by its upstream subsidiary Nigerian Petroleum Development Co. has risen to 230,000 b/d, climbing by 50,000 b/d above the output more than six months ago. NPDC, which operates the 48-inch Trans Forcados export pipeline has, like other companies that use the major export line, been ramping up production after experiencing significant a drop when the pipeline was bombed in 2016 by militants which shut off the Forcados crude grade from the markets after the Forcados terminal was shut down.
