Bolivia's government said late June 27 it will immediately begin charging natural gas producers the new 32% direct tax on their gas output in the country,adhering to the hydrocarbons law passed May 17.The charge will be applied on top of existing 18% royalty on gas production,bringing the combined tax/royalty burden on producers to 50%,the government said in a statement.
