Edinburgh-The Asian Development Bank has acknowledged that Turkmenistan will not be able to rely solely on its giant Dauletabad field to meet its proposed commitments for pipeline gas deliveries to Pakistan and India.The ADB, which has spent three years developing a trans-Afghan gas pipeline project from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India, said that gas demand in those two countries justified the need for pipelines from both Turkmenistan and Iran-and that a third pipeline to carry gas from Qatar or Oman to South Asia might eventually be required.
