CME Group’s AUP Midwest premium futures remained flat for 2020 on Aug. 31 as 2021 forwards continued to weaken slightly. The futures contracts trade on CME Globex and CME Clearport, and settle on a monthly basis against the Platts US Midwesttransaction premium. CME Group’s August contract finished the month at 14.448 cents/ lb, up 4.287 cents/lb from the July monthly average, as bids and offers by traders rose with carry spreads on the London Metal Exchange above the cost of warehousing and financing.
