The exchanger has a coolant containing housing jacket (3), which consists of aluminum die casting and an exhaust gas conducting flat pipe, which has extruded aluminum section in curved U form. Flange plate with flat pipes is stuck with the housing jacket with one another. The exchanger is made of aluminum. The housing jacket, flange plate and connecting piece are bolted together for exhaust gas inlet (4) and exhaust gas outlet (5).
