The aluminum alloy heat exchanger (1) for cooling an exhaust gas of thermal motors of a vehicle, comprises two different circuits for exchanging heat between two fluids. One of two fluids consists of an exhaust gas. An insulating layer is uniformly present on an internal wall of a conduit in which the exhaust gas circulates, where the conduit comprises inserts, wings or blocks. A thickness or a height of the insulating layer is less than 100 mu m. The thickness of the insulating layer is 15-38 mu m on a surface of internal wall of the conduit where the exhaust gas circulates. The aluminum alloy heat exchanger (1) for cooling an exhaust gas of thermal motors of a vehicle, comprises two different circuits for exchanging heat between two fluids. One of two fluids consists of an exhaust gas. An insulating layer is uniformly present on an internal wall of a conduit in which the exhaust gas circulates, where the conduit comprises inserts, wings or blocks. A thickness or a height of the insulating layer is less than 100 mu m. The thickness of the insulating layer is 15-38 mu m on a surface of internal wall of the conduit where the exhaust gas circulates. The insulating layer on the inserts, wings or blocks is 8-16 mu m, where a distance between two consecutive inserts or wings is 1.25 mm. A width and a height of the exchanger body is 40-120 mm and 130 mm respectively. An independent claim is included for a process of manufacturing a heat exchanger.
