Washington—Global refined copper demand is expected to grow about 0.3% this year to 24.57 million mt and nearly 1.7% in 2020 to 25 million mt, according to an International Copper Study Group report, released Wednesday. “Sustained growth in copper demand is expected to continue because copper is essential to economic activity and even more so to the modern technological society,” analysts with the Lisbon-based research group said.
