Yunnan Luoping eyes 191% spike in its 2019 zinc ingot output

China’s Yunnan Luoping Zinc and Electricity Company has set 2019 zinc ingot output guidance at 93,000 mt, a 191% spike from last year, the company said Monday. The bullish outlook came as the zinclead miner and smelter posted a dismal 55.3% yearly decline in 2018 production at 31,972 mt. It attributed the drop to suspension of its smelter between June- September 2018 in Qujing city, Yunnan province, over environmental violations and rectifications.
