Charging device for supplying a zinc ingot into a zinc bath, comprises a carrier device for carrying the zinc ingot and a guiding device for controlled transferring of zinc ingot from the carrier device into the zinc bath
The charging device comprises a carrier device (110) for carrying a zinc ingot and a guiding device (120) for controlled transferring of zinc ingot from the carrier device into a zinc bath. The guiding device comprises a guiding sledge (122) on which the zinc ingot is coupled, and a guide rail (124) on which the guiding sledge is guidable. The guiding sledge comprises a hook (123) with bolt for engaging in a recess equipped with the guiding sledge at the surface of the ingot. The hook with bolt is equipped with an overload protection system, which is formed to release the bolt in the hook. The charging device comprises a carrier device (110) for carrying a zinc ingot and a guiding device (120) for controlled transferring of zinc ingot from the carrier device into a zinc bath. The guiding device comprises a guiding sledge (122) on which the zinc ingot is coupled, and a guide rail (124) on which the guiding sledge is guidable. The guiding sledge comprises a hook (123) with bolt for engaging in a recess equipped with the guiding sledge at the surface of the ingot. The hook with bolt is equipped with an overload protection system, which is formed to release the bolt in the hook so that the bolt is pressed out from its seat in the hook, when the bolt not interfere based on a false positioning of the ingot relative to the hook into the assigned recess in the ingot. The guiding sledge comprises a clamp for clamping the ingot and/or ingot residues against its bolt. The guiding device is equipped with a first movement means, which is formed to pivot the guiding device against the carrier device in a first position in which the ingot of the guiding device is supplied, and in a second position in which the ingot is coupled at the guiding sledge. A second movement means is formed to engage the carrier device together with the guiding device and if necessary to engage the ingot coupled at the guiding sledge against the zinc bath. A heating device is subjected for pre-heating and/or keeping warm of the ingot before supplying into the zinc bath. A covering shroud is arranged over the carrier device. An independent claim is included for a method for supplying a metallic ingot into a metal bath.
