Mining industry needs to embrace technology to evolve: MJ conference

London—Information Technology needs to be at the core of any miner’s business plan, and technology needs to be further embraced in order for the industry to keep up with the times and investor appetite, according to the views of market participants at an industry event Thursday. During the morning session at the Mining Journal’s first Future of Mining event in London, the widely shared view was that the mining industry is still in need of fine-tuning its approach to technology adoption.
