BioAmber Acquiring Mitsui & Co.'s Stake in Sarnia Manufacturing JV

Sarnia—BioAmber announced in its second quarter 2017 results that it signed a definitive agreement to purchase Mitsui & Co.'s 30% interest in the Sarnia manufacturing joint venture between the two companies (PCN, 2 May 2016, p 3). The transaction, for which a value and expected closing date were not given, will make BioAmber 100% owner of the 30,000-t/y BioAmber Sarnia bio-succinic acid facility in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
