PolyMirae & SK Advanced Finalize JV To Construct New PP Plant at Ulsan

Ulsan- PolyMirae and SK Advanced recently formed a joint venture to build a new polypropylene (PP) facility in Ulsan, South Korea (PCN, 2 July 2018, p 1). The 400,000-t/y PP unit, which will be based on Lyon-dellBasell's 5th generation Spheripol technology, will be one of the "largest of its kind in Asia," PolyMirae earlier stated. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2019 and operations are expected to commence in the first half of 2021.
