Iranian iron ore exports jump: China is main market

In spite of Iranian government policy tohalt exports of raw materials, statistics fromImidro, the Iranian mines and metals stateholding company, show an increase in iron oreexports in the first seven months of the Iranianyear (April-October).Some 11.09 million metric tons of iron orewere exported by Iranian miners at the valueof $612 million during the seven months,representing an increase of 11.8% year-on-yearin tonnage and of 60.6% in value.
