Chilean steelmaker CaP restarts bF 2 after five years: sources

CAP Acero, the Huachipato steel mill operated by Chilean integrated steel group CAP, started its blast furnace No. 2 in the middle of April, sources within the company said Tuesday. The furnace had been idled since 2013 due to international and domestic economic factors. The total investment for the repair of the equipment was $23.9 million.
