US pig iron imports remain on pace for 12-year high

Through the first nine months of 2018, US pig iron imports remain on pace to reach their highest volume since 2006.After falling to an eight-month low in August of 347,212 mt, US pig iron imports bounced back to 507,412 mt in September and are on pace to reach 5.8 million mt in 2018, according to US Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission data.
