Talos, Pan American Swap Mexican Offshore Stakes

US independent Talos Energy, which is working to bring its large Zama discovery in Mexico's shallow Gulf of Mexico waters into production, has signed an agreement to swap other Mexican shallow-water assets with a Mexico-based BP affiliate. In a statement, Talos said it agreed with Hokchi Energy, a subsidiary of BP's Argentina-based Pan American Energy, to offer a 25% stake in Block 2 to Hokchi. Talos operates the area in a consortium with Mexican independent Sierra Oil & Gas and UK-based Premier Energy.
