Petroamazonas Output Jumps in 2019

Production at Ecuador’s state-run Petroamazonas has seen its production swell by about 30,000 boe/d since the beginning of the year to more than 445,600 boe/d at the beginning of August, the firm said. “Production rose mainly due to increases at Block 43-ITT after development of the Tambococha E and Tambococha B platforms, which showed good petrophysical characteristics and placed them above average production of other platforms on the block that are currently under development,” Petroamazonas General Manager Alex Galarraga said. Production also rose at Sacha in Block 60 after the start of a drilling campaign there in May, Galarraga added.
