Facing a fall in demand, the Opec-plus producer group is ready “to do whatever it takes” to avoid a repeat of the 2015-16 oil price collapse, Opec Secretary-General Mohammed Barkindo said on Thursday. Speaking in London, Barkindo said that “all options are open,” for Opec and its non-Opec allies to respond, either by agreeing to sustain or even tighten output discipline, when they meet in Vienna in December.
