Crude Posts Modest Gain as Most European Banks Pass Stress Test

US August crude futures hovered around the mid-to-high $90s last week as prices were pulled in different directions. Talk that the US Federal Reserve would launch another round of quantitative easing — which would hurt the dollar and lift oil prices — pushed futures higher, until Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said no such moves were imminent.
