Libya Updates Output

Libya is currently producing in excess of 1 million b/d — up slightly against an earlier end-year forecast of 950,000 b/d — and in the next two months expects significant jumps from the Waha concession and National Oil Corp. (NOC) affiliate Arabian Gulf Oil Co. (Agoco), NOC Chairman Nuri Berruien tells Oil Daily. Agoco has said it expects to return to its prewar rate of 425,000 b/d in February. Current output is 330,000 b/d, Agoco spokesman Abdeljalil Mayuf says, up from 270,000 b/d just two weeks ago (OD Dec.8’11). Waha Oil Co. output is expected to rise on completion of repairs to the Es Sider oil terminal by late this year or early next, while Berruien reiterated expectations that the country will return to its prewar production rate of 1.7 million b/d by end- June 2012 (OD Dec.15’11).
