Oil posted modest gains on Tuesday, but both benchmarks retreated from intraday highs, and some market players say the coronavirus continues to plague demand and that prices may have further to fall. “[Today's] rally seems to be more of a technical retracement than a general belief that the epidemic has run its course,” noted Tamas Varga of oil brokerage PVM.
