Rosneft Barrels Boost Glencore Turnover

A 220,000 b/d crude oil offtake deal signed with Rosneft over a year ago helped Swiss trading giant Glencore achieve record oil sales and profits last year. The London-listed company mar-keted 3.31 million b/d of crude last year, a rise of 33% compared to 2016, while oil product sales remained flat at around 2.34 million b/d. Glencore did not explain the origin of the sharp increase, but the extra barrels from Rosneft were undoubtedly a key fac-tor.
