Kazakhstan was poised to launch the first-ever exports of gasoline at the start of the month, but a reported ac- cident involving the new catalytic cracking system at the Pavlodar re- finery has reportedly delayed plans. Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev was quoted saying last month that all conditions were in place for gasoline exports to begin and the inaugural 30,000 metric ton cargo could be dispatched by train in late June or early July. He did not specify the offtaker but hinted it could be Kyrgyzstan or even Tajikistan.
