NLMK Q2 semi-finished steel sales up 31%, finished steel down 7%

Semi-finished steel sales at Russia's largest steelmaker, Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), rose by 31% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2018 to 1.65 million tonnes.This was up from 1.26 million tonnes in the corresponding period in 2017.Of the total shipments, 1.29 million tonnes were slab, a 33% year-on-year increase from the 974,000 tonnes shipped in April-June 2017, the company said on Friday July 13.
