SE Asia: Higher prices yet to be confirmed

Southeast Asia standard MOP spot prices were assessed unchanged at an indicative $260-275/mt CFR as previously reported sales above this range had yet to be confirmed. Prices in Malaysia have not tracked the gains of those in Indonesia and elsewhere in the region and were pegged by a supplier at around $260/mt CFR. Malaysian buyers are reportedly unlikely to accept higher offers until a 2018 Chinese contract settlement is agreed above the H2 2017 price of $230/mt CFR.
