DAP/MAP suppliers extend recent price rises

International DAP/MAP prices extended recent gains this week as tight availability continues to offset patchy demand for product at current price offers. US export and domestic prices continued to move up again this week, with DAP barges at New Orleans reaching $375-383/st FOB, up from $375-376/st FOB. US domestic consumers have not challenged rising offers in recent weeks due to a lack of options. However, difficulties may emerge after March when Mosaic and other suppliers try to find a summer-fill price for re-stocking.
