Chatham Rock joins safer phosphates group

New Zealand developer Chatham Rock Phosphate has joined Safer Phosphates, an organisation created to promote the use of low heavy metal content phosphate rock, the company said in a press release on November 22. Chatham Rock joins PhosAgro, Foskor, Kropz and Arianne Phosphate in the organisation. The formation of Safer Phosphates follows proposals in the European Commission to vastly restrict the cadmium content in fertilizers over the coming decades.
