US NOLA: Few barges, few inquiries

Increased US production and greater imports from Canada have substantially reduced the need for US distributors to turn to the barge market for ammonium sulphate in recent weeks and months. Despite summer hurricane damage to US Gulf AS output and damage to sulphur supplies, new US AS production has reduced the need for imports. In addition US consumers already had arranged for increased from other sources to replace AS previously shipped from China that now is blocked by anti-dumping tariffs.
