South Korea’s September exports of sulphuric acid climbed 18% year on year to 312,397 mt, though the total for the first three quarters of the year was still down 4% at 2.19 million mt. The largest destination for September tonnes was China, which took 84,119 mt. This was followed by Indonesia with 43,001 mt, India with 37,786 mt, and Thailand with 32,291 mt. Other outlets for September included Chile (25,300 mt), Malaysia (21,700 mt), and Mexico (19,950 mt). China took 30% of South Korea’s January- September exports, with the volume down 21% year on year at 661,303 mt.
