Brazil: Claims of much higher gMOP prices

Prices of granular MOP are assessed stable in Brazil at $260-270/mt CFR, although suppliers continue to suggest that higher levels are now achievable, and one reported unconfirmed sale well above this range. BPC reports that it has roughly 50,000 mt MOP booked with buyers for September-October arrival at $285/mt CFR although the company did not disclose any further details. There was a lack of other indications at such levels at the time of writing.
