Brazil: Urea imports ahead 49.6% through August

Brazil imported a total of 3.5 million mt urea in the first eight months of 2017, up by 49.6% on the prior year according to SECEX data via IHS GTA. Qatar remained in the lead with 1.13 million mt, a 36% increase. Russia was up to 482,000 mt from 175,000 mt, Saudi Arabia up 39% to 269,000 mt, and Nigeria was ahead to 249,000 mt from 36,000 mt.
