The floating of a fresh Indian import tender by MMTC for an unspecified quantity of prilled or granular urea closing July 17 was widely welcomed by suppliers. These same suppliers had up until the July announcement been faced with lack of market liquidity except for a rush by some traders to cover short positions for July loading.
