India: NP/NPK production rose 6% in May

India’s NP/NPK production rose in May despite issues with labour and receiving consumables due to the country’s Covid-19 lockdown as suppliers prioritised NP/NPK production over DAP. May NP/NPK production reached 729,000, up 6% year on year, bringing January through May NP/NPK production to 3.3 Mt, down 2% year on year. NP/NPK production has remained high so far in June with NP/NPK production in India during the first half likely flat-to-slightly-higher year on year.
