Spirit Energy’s UK North Sea field no closer to FID after OGA field dispute ruling

UK regulator, the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA), has provided a pragmatic ruling in a dispute between Neptune Energy and Spirit Energy by recommending Neptune and its Cygnus field partners work to remove obstacles preventing third party gas being routed through the North Sea field. However, Spirt, which is hoping to route its Pegasus field through Cygnus, must also consider other development options, the OGA said in a non-binding ruling.
